Established in 1990, Alberto Makali's direction remains unchanged: to create a core set of high-quality novelty bridge suitings and sportswear, and couple them with a combination of style and attitude.
Year-to-year, season-to-season, that goal is central. From design decisions to fabrications, Alberto Makali is dedicated to maintaining superior workmanship with a distinctive, finished look. Alberto Makali has primarily built its strong reputation as a women's suit division. However, with the addition of the tremendously popular outerwear and eveningwear lines, the philosophy remains simple: rich novelty fabrics, great-fit, and hip styling.
A majority of the fabrics that are used are imported, which enables the company to have access to the newest and most unique fabrics available anywhere in the marketplace. All manufacturing is done exclusively in the United States to insure superior quality control. Furthermore, because all warehousing is done in the heart of the New York City Garment Center, our stores can re-order merchandise and receive it overnight!
Because Alberto Makali is a family-owned and operated business, our personal pride is on the line every time our merchandise goes out the door.
